But I was inspired by the videos on YouTube (which is the website I visit most frequently now that I am into makeup). My mom has a few, so I started with a clear polish. You couldn't really see that it was uneven and I really liked how my nails looked all shiny, so I went to bed with it and the next day it didn't feel as uncomfortable anymore. Like my nails got used to the polish.
So, I decided to change it up and put on a light purple polish. It looked really pretty as well. I went to Longs Drugs today and I saw that Wet 'n Wild nail polishes are only 99 cents. I bought two: a pink and a black one. To me, black nail polish is really "edgy" and "rock star." When I got home, I eagerly put on the black one. BIG MISTAKE. With my unsteady hands they looked really ugly and uneven and most of the polish ended up on the skin around my nails. I decided to take the polish off. Black nail polish is not for me. At least until I get more practice putting it on.
Now, I am left with really dirty looking fingers. Like I played in the mud all day and had stained my nails. I have black nail polish under my nails and in the skin crevices and it left this gray residue on my nails as well. No matter how much I scrubbed with a nail polish remover saturated cotton ball, it wouldn't come out. I don't know if it was the nail polish or the nail polish remover's fault, but my nails are really gross-looking right now.
Tomorrow is my first day at my new high school job. I hope they won't judge me by my really ugly, dirty nails.

Awww, I hate it when that happens w/ dark polish. It just takes some practice and your nails will soon be looking fab! :)
