I researched and had planned to buy the Mac Studio Finish concealer thingy today but I got suckered into buying a "skinfinish" power as well.
First of all, I have just recently started to buy makeup and learn how to use them properly. In college I would just dust on blush, slick on some lip gloss and call myself ready to face the day. Then, this summer I got into watching makeup videos on Youtube and playing with makeup looked really fun, so I bought a bunch of drugstore makeup to experiment with. Anyway, before today, I have never owned or used a Mac product because they always seemed too expensive. However, I really needed a good concealer so I went on Youtube to do my research.
Today, I went to the Mac counter in Macy's and asked the sales girl to please help me find a concealer that will match my skin tone. She sat me down and put on the concealer. Then, she sprayed, buffed and patted on a few more products and said a bunch of makeup mumbo jumbo that I didn't really understand. She gave me a mirror, and I had to admit that the end result was really good. I was still adamant about just purchasing the concealer though. She said I at least need to buy the powder to set it because if I just have the concealer on by itself it would "slide off my face after a few hours." So I bought it because I am that easy. I am a sales person's dream--it doesn't take a lot to convince me to buy something.
A good day overall.

Sounds like a lovely day shopping :) I've also never used any MAC makeup before because of the cost!
I also never knew about statehood day...you learn something new everyday :)
Great blog.
Emma :)
Fun I like the fact you get off work the day you became a state! Every state should be that way. LOL
Welcome to MAC makeup. I have only ever used teh eye make up and LOVE IT.
I am glad the Mac girl convinced me to buy the powder. I love it! Better than my clinique loose powder. Thank you both for checking out the blog and becoming a reader! :)
